Since starting this business, I’ve come across so many comments like, "Getting married in Lake Como? That’s crazy - minimum $100,000, if not more!" Really? Don’t get me wrong - you can spend that much in 10 seconds if you want to, but there are also more affordable (and still absolutely stunning) options that fit a realistic wedding budget.
When we launched this business a few months ago, our number one goal was - and still is - to show couples that if they dream of a destination wedding in Lake Como, it’s absolutely possible.
So, what does a more realistic Lake Como wedding actually look like?
It might surprise you, but you can have an unforgettable wedding here without breaking the bank. If you're envisioning an intimate celebration for 20 guests or a more traditional event with 80–100 attendees, there are venues, suppliers, and styles to suit a wide range of budgets.
The key is knowing where to allocate your budget and having someone on the ground who understands the local market. That’s where we come in. From villas with lake views to elegant restaurants tucked into historic towns, there are thousands of hidden gems that don’t carry the celebrity price tag - but still deliver that magical Lake Como feeling.
So, what are the main factors that influence cost?
Some of the biggest variables include:
Guest count: Fewer guests = lower costs across the board (venues, catering, transport, etc.).
Venue selection: Some well-known venues can cost tens of thousands just to hire. Others? A fraction of the price.
Time of year: Shoulder seasons like April, early May, or October often come with more flexible pricing - and gorgeous scenery.
Priorities: Want a boat entrance, luxury florals, and a five-course feast? Amazing - we can make it happen. Prefer something simple and elegant? That’s just as special.
